SAP Mobility
Mobile SAP on the BTP Stack
The modern SAP mobility stack is built entirely on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). SXC Group designs and delivers end-to-end mobile solutions using the current generation of SAP tools, giving your workforce real-time access to SAP data on any device, online or offline.
SAP BTP Mobile Services
SAP BTP Mobile Services is the cloud-native successor to the legacy SAP Mobile Platform. It provides the back-end infrastructure that powers enterprise mobile apps:
- Offline OData sync: data available even without a network connection, with automatic conflict resolution on reconnect.
- Push notifications: server-triggered alerts to iOS and Android devices via APNs and FCM.
- Mobile app configuration & versioning: manage app settings and feature flags without redeployment.
- App usage analytics: track adoption, errors and performance across your mobile estate.
- Device registration & security: enforce certificate-based authentication and remote wipe for lost devices.
All services are provisioned and managed from the BTP cockpit alongside your other cloud resources.
Mobile Development Kit (MDK)
The Mobile Development Kit lets developers build native iOS and Android apps inside SAP Business Application Studio, the same IDE used for Fiori and CAP development. A single MDK project generates binaries for both platforms, reducing development time and maintenance overhead significantly.
MDK is the recommended approach for transactional SAP mobile apps: approvals, time recording, warehouse operations, field service and similar scenarios where offline capability and native device features (camera, GPS, biometrics) are required.
SAP Build Apps
For use cases that benefit from a low-code approach, SAP Build Apps (previously AppGyver) provides a visual drag-and-drop builder for mobile and web applications on BTP. Non-developers and fusion teams can create apps connected to SAP back ends via BTP destinations and OData services, with no coding required for standard scenarios.
SAP Fiori on Mobile
Many standard SAP Fiori apps are fully responsive and run in the mobile browser without any additional development. Where browser access is sufficient, this is the lowest-cost path to a mobile-ready SAP UI. SXC Group assesses which of your target scenarios are best served by responsive Fiori, MDK native apps, or SAP Build Apps, and delivers accordingly.
